The true story of Bill W., a successful stock broker and alcoholic whose life falls apart after the 1929 stock crash. He founded Alcoholics Anonymous along with a fellow alcoholic Dr. Bob Smith, an alcoholic surgeon about to lose his practice to alcoholism. Together they realized that alcoholism is a disease. And, that when a drinker is trying to quick they need another drinker to help them. They also created a simple, unchanging business model that remains intact and continues to thrive help and help others nearly a hundred years later.
